DESCRIPTION of FEATURE FILM: John James Audubon: The Birds of America, written and directed by Al Reinert, is the story of John James Audubon’s adventure across America as he pursued his dream of painting life-size images of all of the bird species of America. His passion for birds carried him across the continental wilderness to observe them in their habitat, and his skills as an artist immortalized them and their environment. A singular visionary in frontier America, Audubon is the godfather of today’s conservation movement.
