Our education chair people, Jerry and Terry Williams, have been doing a stellar job educating Plumas County youth! Check out some of the activities that Plumas Audubon has facilitated in the region. 

We have conducted numerous school-wide Bird Days at the following schools:

C Roy Carmichael in Portola where we conducted a school-wide Bird day with 20 presenters covering topics such as: Feathers, Beaks, Migrations, Banding, Bird ID, Bird Flight, Sounds, Drawing, Story Telling, Bird Feet, Eating like a bird, Binoculars, Bird ID Books.
 

Greenville Elementary in Greenville where we had a great Bird day this spring.

 

Quincy Elementary School - Their Family Science Night and the Wild Wednesday After School Program partnering with Michelle Beaman, Women's Mountain Passages: Building Bird Boxes, Bird ID Books, Binoculars, and Bird Walks, and "Digging In" - Garden Project with Michelle Beaman: how important birds are for the growth and health of the garden
