Intern with Plumas Audubon
The Plumas Audubon Society has several internship opportunities for 2013. Feather River College students can receive credits for internships by enrolling in the internship class for the Summer and Fall 2013 semesters.
Students can be involved with the following projects:
Other potential internship opportunities also include wildlife monitoring at the Heart K Ranch, surveying for Bank Swallows in Plumas County, or conducting other bird surveys, such as the Christmas Bird Count. For more information email or call David Arsenault at (530) 283-0455

The Plumas Audubon Society has several internship opportunities for 2013. Feather River College students can receive credits for internships by enrolling in the internship class for the Summer and Fall 2013 semesters.
Students can be involved with the following projects:
- Bird House (Nesting Box) Program: Help build bird houses and map their locations;
- Plumas Audubon Website: Help us update our existing website;
- Burrowing Owl Project: Help build and map artificial nesting burrows in the Sierra Valley;
- Flammulated Owl Study: Help survey, locate nests, and mark Flammulated Owls around Lake Davis;
- Grebe Study: Help educate people and survey for grebes at Lake Almanor, Eagle Lake, Lake Davis, and Antelope Lake;
- Habitat Restoration projects: planting natives, thinning and piling, pulling invasive plants... all contribute to a healthier ecosystem.
