Rare Birds

Plumas Audubon Society works across a large region with very diverse bird populations.  There are many Audubon Important Bird Areas nearby and with many valleys, riparian corridors, lakes, and other diverse habitats in close proximity, many migrant birds also frequent the area.  Fall and Spring can be some of the most exciting birding locally and many rare species may be sighted.  Plumas Audubon would like to keep records of rare species observed in and around our area.  If you see any of the following species please report it to Plumas Audubon by email as this can help in future projects and enable PAS to alert local birders so they can enjoy trying to see them as well.
